About the Artist
John Rankine has been doing nautical artwork for 28 years, starting in South Florida. All artwork reflects the native Floridian driftwood/nautical theme. John has done custom taxidermy and artwork for local fishermen and divers, as well as tourists wanting their catch mounted on Florida's native driftwood. All lobsters are used for food, thus every effort has been made to be environmentally friendly. All pieces have been harvested from Florida waters, with the exception of "maine lobsters."
Last year was a very successful event at the Baldwin Park Arts Festival for Mr. Rankine. 4 items were purchased, and many inquiries were made about this unique and interesting display of nature's work. In addition to "standard " lobster displays, John custom designs lobster trap coffee and end tables with various lobster configurations. Driftwood picture frames are also available.
